CORONA SITUATION MAP is a dynamic map application on corona pandemic situation produced by Tapio Siltala.
The content is normally updated on daily basis. Johns Hopkins University's corona database is used as source material. The material may include individual errors.
Mapping platform is provided by CARTO
Information is visualised as point symbols on country, state or county level, depending on the data available.
The size of the point corresponds to the total number of confirmed corona cases in that area.
The colour of the point corresponds to the total number of confirmed corona cases in relation to population in that area.

Popup window opens by clicking a point symbol.
Popup window includes the following information:

COUNTRY REGION: The name of country, state or county
CONFIRMED: Confirmed number of diseases
CONFIRMED % OF POPULATION: Confirmed number of diseases in relation to the number of inhabitants
DAILY CHANGE ONE DAY: Change in the confirmed number of infections on update day compared to the previous update. Note! The previous update if normally made on the previous day, but not in all cases.
DAILY CHANGE TWO DAYS AGO: Change in the confirmed number of infections during previous update compared to the day before.
DAILY CHANGE THREE DAYS AGO: Change in the confirmed number of infections on update day compared to the previous update.
DAILY CHANGE FOUR DAYS AGO: Change in the confirmed number of infections during previous update compared to the day before.
DEATHS: Number of deaths
RECOVERED: Number or recoveries
LAST UPDATE: Time of last update in the area

On the widgets on the right frame the following information is automatically updated:
Confirmed (upper): Number on confirmed infections in the map area during the last update
Confirmed (lower): Number on confirmed infections in the map area during the previous update
Deaths (upper): Number on deaths in the map area during the last update
Deaths (lower): Number on deaths in the map area during the previous update
